OUR STORY
We are a British-Japanese family who have returned to Tanba Sasayama after living in the UK. We decided to renovate an old Japanese house and start a small farm here. Our life is centred around working the land, renovating and restoring the farmhouse and appreciating the simple pleasures of the countryside.
About Spring Day Farm
Spring Day Farm is a small farm in Tanba Sasayama where we grow Tanba black edamame, a local specialty. Our farm is modest in size, but we are dedicated to growing these edamame in the fields around our home. We cherish the opportunity to grow and share local produce with those around us.
About our crops
Spring Day Farm grows Tanba Black Edamame, a specialty of Tanba Sasayama. These edamame are planted in the spring, carefully nurtured throughout the growing season, and harvested in the fall when they are at their freshest.
We sell our crops at our farm stand, at local markets around Sasayama, and from 2025 we will also start selling them online on this website, so you can enjoy our harvest wherever you are.
